LOCAL singer Can Skylark will pay tribute to the music of much-loved music icon Celine Dion in an intimate, pre-Valentine’s show at the Golden Valley’s Winners Sports Bar on February 13.
Fans can expect to hear the talented young performer belt out renditions of many of Dion’s famous hits.
With over 14 years experience in the music industry, Can Skylark has appeared on a variety of lifestyle and entertainment radio and television shows across South Africa.
The singer has featured as a celebrity guest DJ on radio and is also the pioneer behind The Motive programme, a music skills development initiative, which aims to inspire and educate aspiring musicians in the industry.
Her tenacity and determination to succeed has gained the respect and attention of award-winning singer, writer and producer, and current SA Idols musical director, RJ Benjamin, with whom she has successfully achieved yet another number one song, with their duet, titled So High. Skylark has also spent time in Los Angeles working with multi-platinum award-winning songwriter Pam Sheyne, who is best known for her work with Christina Aguilera, Cyndi Lauper, Elton John as well as SA Idols winner, Elvis Blue.
Her music is currently playlisted on local, and international radio stations across Europe.
Tickets to Can Skylark’s Tribute to Celine Dion are R120 at the casino’s cash desk. Members of Sun International’s Most Valued Guest (MVG) programme quality for a discount depending on their membership tier. The show, for over 18s only, starts at 9pm.
