Durban — KwaZulu-Natal Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube will on Friday provide feedback on service delivery and social empowerment issues at this year’s Senior Citizens’ Sector Parliament.

The two-day programme will provide a platform for senior citizens to directly engage with the KZN legislature on International Day for Senior Citizens.

It will be held at the Glencoe Town Hall at eNdumeni Local Municipality under the theme “Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World”.

Dube-Ncube is also expected to report on initiatives aimed at protecting senior citizens against gender-based violence.

The premier will be accompanied by Social Cluster MECs to ensure meaningful engagements and the rapid implementation of the Senior Citizens’ Sector Parliament dialogue resolutions.

“The provincial government remains committed to implementing effective public participation programmes that actively seek to improve the quality of life for the people of KwaZulu-Natal,” Dube-Ncube said.
