After spending the past weekend behind bars, controversial music executive Nota Baloyi is determined to prove his innocence.
Baloyi handed himself over to the police on Friday, October 4, after being charged with rape by actress, Itumeleng Bokaba.
He called it “the worst day of my life”.
After appearing in court on Monday, October 7, he was released on R5 000 bail.
His case has been postponed to Thursday, November 7, for the state to consult the complainant for further investigations.
Not long after his release, the social media monger took to X to post: “Thank you Lord… Thank you all for the prayers & support. I’ve been granted bail.
“I will prove my innocence & I will comply with all the conditions placed on me by the Randburg Magistrate Court 2, today. My nightmare is over!✊🏿.”

He also thanked those who have shown him support during this time.

Baloyi also shared that since he did not bath for three day, he will be indulging in bubble bath today.
“Today I’m taking a bubble bath with the salts… Giving people hugs after 3 days of not showering was fun though, on some, come get a good wiff of what I’ve been through over the weekend ... Watch God!”

According to online reports, Baloyi shared that his family visited him during his time in jail.
“My family came to visit me almost every day and it was uncomfortable to have them visit me under such conditions, through a glass barrier.”
Baloyi said that as he stood in front of the magistrate he got emotional just thinking about his freedom.
“I wasn’t sure I was going to be granted bail. It made it harder to hold back the tears,” he shared.
