Jo-An Siki, the dynamic and soulful singer who captivated audiences with her unforgettable performance of "Qongqothwane" on "The Voice SA" in 2019, is embarking on a tour which will see dazzle as far and wide as Brazil.
The Intimate Concert with the African Queen: Tour 2024 will see the performer dazzle at home and abroad. In South Africa, performances are set for places like Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Johannesburg from July to September, while she will also perform in Brazil in Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Rio De Janeiro and Teresopolis from September to October.
The upcoming tour promises to offer a mesmerising, up close and personal showcase of Siki's unique blend of African rhythms and soulful vocals.
Siki is set to delight fans with her Xhosa songs and music from her latest album titled “Chapter 30”.
This album presents a window into Siki’s soul, with some popular English jazz standards, and a touch of bossa-nova and Samba Portuguese music that she was introduced to during her previous tour in Brazil.
The artist said she is extremely proud of herself, for being able to record and release an album as an independent artist and that she has had a successful international tour in 2023.
“I am also very proud that I had a successful international tour in 2023, that I planned, funded, and produced myself,” she said.
She also said that throughout her previous tour, she met a lot of people who have assisted in making this second tour a success too.
“Throughout my previous tour, I met incredible people who have become very close friends of mine and business partners, who have assisted in making this second tour even much better. I am very excited to sing for my returning audience and to meet some new people along the way,” said Siki.
