Beyoncé has her own perfume, and haircare range and now she has a whisky label as well. The 42-year-old singer announced the launch of her American whisky called SirDavis made in collaboration with Moët Hennessy.

It is named after her great-grandfather Davis Hogue who was a moonshiner based in the American South during the Prohibition era.

The whisky is a nod to Beyoncé’s Texas roots. The bottle features a golden horse emblem on the front and the drink was finished, blended and bottled in Texas.

“Here the complexity of rye is married with the elegance of malted barley. Finished to perfection in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, a harmony of spice with sublime hints of fruit,' reads a description of the whiskey on their website.

Hogue “stashed whisky bottles in the empty knots of cedar trees for friends and kin to find and enjoy,” and Beyoncé’s discovery of this liquor legacy made her decision to create a whisky brand feel “predestined,” according to a press release.

“Whisky has been Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s drink of choice for years, attracted not only by its sophisticated taste, but also by the inherent sense of strength and confidence it inspires,” it states on the website.

The mother of three took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a few pictures to promote her new business venture.

In the images, she stuns in a white lacy outfit. In one of the images, you see the mega-star leaning back holding a glass of whiskey.

She captioned the post “DAVIS IN MY BONES” along with two glass emojis as well as a shout-out to the brand’s website.

A bottle of the whisky has a suggested retail price of $89.99 (about R1,600).
