Meanwhile, in a separate incident Medi Response reported in a statement on Friday a search and rescue mission was launched after a bather went missing in Blythedale in KwaDukuza on Thursday.
“Medi Response search and rescue, together with KDM(KwaDukuza Municipality) lifeguards and Police search and Rescue, are at an unprotected beach in Blythedale where a bather has been swept out to sea,” said Medi Response spokesperson Paul Herbst.
