Lexus is letting its hair down at the world's biggest custom car show, SEMA, which kicks off in Las Vegas next week.
The Japanese luxury car brand has teamed up with some of America's most renowned customizers to create three special commissions that take a more extreme approach to styling.
A certain crowd puller will be the Project GS F Sport by Five Axis, with its bespoke widebody conversion, custom-built twin-tailpipe exhaust and AirRuner TC-5 air suspension. Finished in Glacier White with Slate Gray accents, it also boasts FIVE:AD S5:F alloys.
Five Axis also tinkered with a Lexus CT 200h, the luxury hatchback receiving its own widebody conversion as well as FIVE:AD 19-inch forged wheels, JDSU Dark Passage exterior paint and a TEIN performance suspension system.
Inside, the little Lexus gets seats that have laser etched inserts in UltraSuede, a synthetic microfibre material from EcoDesign, and an illuminated headlining, also finished in UltraSuede.
It's not all a Five Axis show, however, as VIP Auto Salon tried its hand at an IS Coupe-Cabriolet. The open-top sports a Chameleon paint finish by K & B as well as a carbon fibre body kit and bonnet. Beneath that bonnet, the IS gets a Power Enterprise Rotex Supercharger kit by Apexi and VIP Auto and to go with that they've thrown in a high performance exhaust and lowered the suspension.
