Free State police are offering a R25,000 reward to find a five-year-old missing girl.

Keith Sithole was last seen on Friday, October 11 near Letshaba Street in Tumahole.

“She was wearing a black and blue dress with roses with blue shoes,” said police spokesperson, Sergeant Josephine Rani.

“In an effort to expedite the search for the missing 5-year-old girl, the South African Police Service (SAPS) is offering a reward of up to R25,000 for any information leading to her safe return or if a crime was committed to the successful prosecution of the perpetrators,” said Rani.

Rani said search efforts were being coordinated by the Tumahole police, led by the station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Juanita van Rensburg, with the assistance of various stakeholders.

She said on Monday, about 100 community members including police and various stakeholders, gathered at about 8am at a local taxi rank to coordinate the search.

“Police are deploying maximum resources, including ground and aerial searches, to locate her as quickly as possible. We urge the community to remain vigilant and report any information that may assist in the search,” she said.

Rani said anyone who has information regarding the five-year-old’s whereabouts, should contact the Tumahole Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit on 082 049 5208 and ask for Sergeant Noliyiswa Masondo.

Alternatively, they can contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111, or report anonymously on MYSAPS App.
