No agreement reached on fund surpluses yet

The fourth and final deadline given to Nedlac, the tripartite business, labour and government negotiating body, to reach agreement on legislation that will govern the distribution of more than R80 billion in pension fund surpluses came and went this week.

Anusha Makka, a spokesperson for Nedlac, says an meeting to discuss the matter with the Minister of Finance was scheduled for late Friday afternoon (September 1).
