The annual conference of the Institute of Retirement Funds (IRF) will be
held in Cape Town on June 5 and 6.
Topics include retirement reform and economic growth, tax reform of
retirement funds, responsibilities of trustees, AIDS and retirement
provision and the controversial surplus distribution issue.
Among the
speakers are Estelle James of the World Bank, Mandisi Mpahlwa, the deputy
Minister of Finance, John Murphy, the Pension Funds Adjudicator, Jeremy
Andrew, the Financial Services Board`s chief actuary and Graeme Kerrigan,
the chief executive of Alexander Forbes.
The conference is aimed at everyone in the retirement industry, including
fund administrators, asset managers, retirement planners and trustees.
