The Principal Officers Association will be running free educational sessions for retirement fund trustees and principal officers on beneficiary funds and rule amendments at an expo in Johannesburg next week.
The educational sessions will be held at Thenga Thengisa Expo, which will showcase retirement products and services. The expo is being held on Wednesday and Thursday at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The same training sessions will be run on each day.
The beneficiary funds training will address dilemmas and practical aspects of using these funds, while the rule amendments topic will consider how to ensure that fund rules take the latest amendments to the law into account.
Expo attendees will also be able to receive a hard copy of the Financial Services Board’s electronic toolkit (the Trustee Toolkit). The FSB will present the toolkit during both days of the expo at hourly intervals.
