The South African Revenue Service is holding information sessions in all the provinces to help the public understand how capital gains tax (CGT) works. The tax will come into effect on October 1.

The speakers will include people responsible for the legislation.

Generally, the sessions will start at 8.30am and continue until 4pm. The cost will be R57 per person. This fee will cover reading material on CGT and a light lunch. People who wish to attend the sessions are advised to book early, as seats are limited and no payments will be accepted at the venue.

Information about the dates and venues for the sessions is provided below. Some maps are available in the CGT section of SARS's website.
