The deadline for the submission of tax returns has been postponed to Friday, July 27.
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) says the move is aimed at accommodating employers who have indicated that they will be unable to issue their employees with IRP5 forms before June 5 - the original deadline for the submission of income tax returns.
Those taxpayers who need an extension beyond July 27 will have to apply for this via SARS Online at www.sars.gov.za or at their local Receiver of Revenue offices.
