Renowned sports star and style icon Travis Kelce is set to add another feather to his cap.

The Kansas City American football player, who is also currently in a high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift, will be making his acting debut on Ryan Murphy’s new series, “Grotesquerie”.

The murder mystery show, which sees a series of heinous crimes unsettle a small community, will premiere on September 25.

It also stars “Scream Queens” Niecy Nash-Betts as Detective Lois Tryon and Micaela Diamond as a nun, who teams up with the police to find the truth behind the killings.

The rest of the cast includes the likes of Courtney B Vance and Lesley Manville.

Kelce's character is being kept tightly under wraps but the UK’s “Independent” newspaper reported that the 34-year-old is expected to appear in every episode of the 10-part series.

Nash-Betts recently took to Instagram to post a picture of her and Kelce on set, alongside the caption: "This is what happens when WINNERS link up. Welcome to Grostequerie!"

He is also briefly seen in the newly-released trailer waving his hands in front of his face.

Nash-Betts is prominently featured in the trailer as she says: “Something is happening around us.” “Nobody sees but me.”

Meanwhile, the publication added that “Grotesquerie’s” official logline reads: “A series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community. Detective Lois Tryon feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone – or something – is taunting her.”

“At home, Lois grapples with a strained relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care and her own inner demons. With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan, a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian.”

While it may come as a surprise to some to have a sports star with no acting experience being featured prominently in a show, Murphy is no stranger to this.

He also gave Kim Kardashian her acting debut in "American Horror Story”.

The reality star and businesswomen will also star in Murphy’s upcoming legal drama “All’s Fair”.

In addition, Kelce was also recently announced as the host of Amazon Prime Video’s new “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?” spin-off series,” Are you Smarter Than A Celebrity?”

It is unclear when this show and “Grotesquerie” will make its debut in South Africa.
