In a tell-all interview with podcaster, Lungelo KM, Lebo Keswa shared intricate details about her failed marriage to veteran actress, Letoya Makhene.

Keswa visited the “Engineer Your Life” podcast to spill the tea on an episode that aired on YouTube on Tuesday, September 3.

During the interview Kewsa shared that her relationship with the former “Generations” actress started off “like a fairy tale”.

“It was beautiful, especially for me. After 12 years of being single ... I met Latoya at my grandmother’s 99th birthday ... Within a week of us meeting, something in me changed. The beginning of our love story is a very beautiful one.”

She shared how quickly their relationship grew strong to the point that they decided to spend the entire Covid-19 lockdown together at a hotel penthouse.

“It was probably the most irresponsible financial decision I made, but I was that deeply in love and happy. I do not regret it anything that I’ve done in this marriage. I do not regret any sacrifice that I’ve made for Letoya ... I actually wish the beginning of my love story on anyone who wants to fall in love.”

Kewsa pointed out that she was the person to allegedly teach Makhene about “self-love and self-care”.

“In this life, no one should come before you. There I was falling in love with a person who couldn’t even go to the shop to buy underwear for herself ...

“Everyone else mattered besides herself. She was paying bonds at the age of 9, she was buying food ...

“I told her to put herself first, but in that process of teaching her, I completely forgot about myself, I started putting her first. It still blows my mind,” Keswa told Lungelo KM.

During her relationship with the celebrity, Keswa said she had abandoned her church and took on Makhene’s spiritual path, she stopped spoiling herself, stopped exercising and her lost interest in her hobbies.

“I forgot myself,” she said.

Kewsa also spoke about how she would go daily to muti (traditional medicine) shops for Makhene to buy muti for her business.

Later, she talked about the emotional and physical abuse that led to the break-down of the marriage.

Despite their downfall as a couple, Kewsa refuses to focus only on the negatives and said that there were many positives that came out of the relationship too.
