Safari enthusiasts with an ear for music are in for a treat as Craig Hinds, the front man of the multi-platinum-selling South African group Watershed, is set to perform at an intimate lifestyle experience called “Serenading the Untamed” in the Kruger National Park.

The event is hosted by Kruger Untamed’s Tshokwane River Camp from September 13-15 and, according to event organisers, blends wildlife encounters, luxury glamping and gourmet food and wine, culminating in an unplugged performance.

Tshokwane River Camp is set in one of Kruger National Park’s most game-rich areas and 50 guests will enjoy an intimate starlit performance in a dry riverbed setting, where Hinds’ acoustic melodies will harmonise with the sounds of the African bush.

Between safari activities in Kruger Untamed’s private concession and relaxing in the elegant lounging areas around the dry riverbed, guests will also enjoy curated wine tastings of Hinds’ wines, created with Cellarmaster Danie Steytler Junior of Kaapzicht Wine Estate.

Judiet Barnes, CMO of Motsamayi Tourism Group, said that the Motsamayi Tourism had earned its reputation by creating iconic experiences showcasing the finest African hospitality, luxury accommodation and natural beauty.

“Our Kruger Untamed camps embody this pioneering spirit, pushing boundaries with creative concepts and unforgettable events,” said Barnes.

Tshokwane River Camp opened last year and has quickly become renowned for its prime location beside the Ripape River’s dry riverbed.

This setting provides an immersive experience in Kruger’s wilderness, making it a sought-after destination for discerning nature enthusiasts. Guests stay in spacious, luxurious tented suites hidden among riparian forests of leadwood, rain and sausage trees.

The weekend experience is an all-inclusive package that includes Hinds’ performance, curated wine tastings of Hinds’ wines, daily safari activities led by expert guides, a two-night stay in luxurious canvas-tent suites with either twin or king beds, all featuring en-suite facilities and all meals, house beverages and specified wildlife activities.

“’Serenading the Untamed’ is a must for travellers seeking authentic, immersive experiences beyond the ordinary,” said Barnes.
