Durban - Superbly sited overlooking a waterhole, Elephant Rock Private Safari Lodge is a charming boutique lodge offering luxury accommodation for up to 10 people. Elephant Rock lies within the Nambiti Conservancy, 2½ hours from Durban and 4½ hours from Joburg.
The lodge has five suites, including one family unit. All suites have total privacy, with wonderful panoramic views of the waterhole and conservancy beyond. All have en-suite bathrooms with luxurious oval baths and picture windows, plus outdoor showers, allowing you to feel as if you are immersed in the bushveld.
Elephant Rock is unlike other luxury safari destinations and welcomes families with children of all ages. The fenced property means your children will have the excitement of being able to hear the wild animals at night but will not meet them in the lodge.
Bird life abounds, with more than 250 recorded species in the 10 000-hectare Nambiti Private Game Reserve, on which Elephant Rock is situated, and game viewing is normally rewarding, with the Big Five and other game plentiful and roaming freely.
