The 5-star eco-friendly Hotel Izulu in Ballito has refurbished one of its existing Deluxe Suites in order to create a new, luxury experience - The President’s Suite.
The President’s Suite, as it will now be called, pays tribute to the iconic legend and former President, Nelson Mandela. Overlooking the beautifully manicured organic herb and vegetable garden with views of the Indian Ocean, the President’s Suite comprises of tasteful and historical memorabilia from different eras of Mandela’s life with items such as an authentic ‘Madiba shirt’, various photos taken over the years, informative books, press articles, DVD’s and collector’s portraits.
Comments Grant Pringle, managing director of Hotel Izulu: “This is a continuation of our subtle refurbishment, which started with Gigi’s Brasserie late last year after we had gained significant feedback from guests as to their needs, wants and desires. By creating this new suite it gives guests the opportunity to really experience a significant part of South African history.”
Over the course of 2011, other Deluxe Suites will also be transformed to suit any occasion.
